Fireworks, Family and Fun Oh My

I can't believe my little boy is 3! Garrett turned 3 on July 3rd. We celebrated it a week early with the Ebert's and right on his birthday with the Luthi's. It is so great to have his birthday right in the middle of summer! We had dinner at Steven and Nikki's house and then opened presents while playing with our cousins. Pretty sure life doesn't get any better!!

{yes I am aware that he has chocolate on his face in EVERY picture - props to an awesome chocolate fountain along with dinner!!}

For the 4th of July every year we go up to my parents ward (the ward I grew up in) for the annual breakfast, Granite Parade and Carnival.

I LOVE that we have a view of the valley from our back porch, this night it especially came in handy along with the new firework laws we were able to watch fireworks right from home while Hudson slept soundly in his own bed. Garrett thought they were great for about 2 minutes before he decided that the "bug be gone" candle was way cooler!

With growing grand kids and the track record of my brother's in the ER while we were growing up (not necessarily from the tramp), my parents decided it would be safest to put their tramp underground. Garrett and my niece, Clara, thought this was especially fabulous because they were able to take a ride on the backhoe. Growing up in construction and now having worked for a construction company for the last 9 years this picture holds a special place in my heart :)

I couldn't help but throw this picture into the mix. Oh how I can already see such a connection between these two!

This is Garrett when he wants to "Break Out"! He puts on random hats and break dances around the house.... usually right before bed.

I LOVE MY FAMILY
